Proof Requirment Policy and Disputing on Purpose
In an effort to reduce the number of disputed matches, and making the
GameBattles experience more pleasant for the community, we will be
rolling out new features and policies that will be strictly enforced.
One large step in this process is refining and enforcing our position
on submitted tickets for disputed matches and/or cheating accusations.
For tickets regarding Score Disputes or Cheating Accusations, valid
proof must be submitted to support your claims. We will no longer be
accepting tickets that do not contain valid proof. If you do not have
valid proof, please do not dispute your match and do not submit a
ticket as it will not be processed, just closed. As per the rules, we
cannot award a win for a disputed match without valid proof being
submitted.
Please visit the rules page for your ladder to ensure that you are up
to date with all policies and procedures regarding the submission of
proof.
Both video and picture proof are accepted on GameBattles, with some
exceptions. We suggest video be uploaded to the GB or MLG Gameroom, and
pictures to be hosted on a site such as tinypic or photobucket. Once
proof is uploaded, the URL link to the proof must be placed in your
ticket. If there is important information contained in the match
feedback section, you must paste the URL link to the feedback in your
ticket as well.
Thank you for your help in keeping GameBattles as fair and equally
competitive for all teams. We hope that enforcing this policy of this
policy will reduce the number of illegitimate disputes from teams
deliberately trying to cause problems.
Consequences of Disputing a Match on Purpose
At GameBattles we strive to provide fair and pleasant competition.
Because of this, teams that are determined to purposefully dispute
matches, without having valid proof, will be dealt with strictly by the
Administrators.
The first offense for any team disputing on purpose without valid proof
will result in a 1 week lock of the team. At this point, you cannot
send or receive challenges, and you cannot update, remove, or add
members during this period. Do not submit a ticket asking why your team
is locked as you are well aware of why you have been locked.
The second time a team disputes a match without valid proof, the team
will be disbanded. The member that disputed the match will be banned
from the site including the forums. Also, the leader of the team will
be banned because he/she is responsible for all actions of the team. Do
not contact any staff member regarding your ban as you are very much
aware of your actions.
Thank you for reporting matches properly to ensure that everyone's gaming experience on GameBattles is a pleasant one.
